Process starts with the automated mechanical equipment separating screenings; grit from the truck discharges. All remaining liquids and dissolved solids are then processed through our dewatering press and further treated through the City's Wastewater Treatment Facility. A 4,000 gallon truck can be unloaded in seven minutes.
The City has two processing rates:
- Initial base rate- $0.15 per gallon for common residential septage and other wastes not anticipated to substantially exceed the biochemical oxygen demand or total suspended solids of residential septage.
- Pre-treated industrial waste shall be $0.07 per gallon.
- Secondary Sludge shall be $0.13 per gallon. A penalty of $0.22 per gallon shall be assessd for any disposal exceeding the maximum contaminant level (MCL).
The City does not accept Grease.
