Avon Park is known as the City of Charm and is located in Highlands County, Florida.  Nestled in Central Florida, Avon Park is famous for its citrus and mile long mall which runs through our median in the middle of Main Street.  Our population is nearly 10,000 residents, and approximately 7.1 square miles in size. The climate is hot during the summer and temperatures tend to be in the 80's. During winter our temperatures that range in the 60's.  The average annual rainfall is 52".
