City Clerk

The responsibility of the City Clerk includes informing the public about meetings and other events. You'll find notifications from current and recent past public/legal notices here.

Citizens' lives are influenced by governmental actions or requirements, as shown in Public Notices and Legal Ads. Information may include:

  • government hearings and meetings
  • zoning annexation and land use changes
  • election notices
  • municipal budgets, taxes, and special assessment information
  • requests for bids on government construction and service contract
  • permit and licensing applications
  • land and water use regulations

The Florida Legislature acknowledges the public's right to be informed about these activities and events. To ensure wide community reach and easy accessibility, the City of Avon Park publishes public notices/legal ads in the Highlands News Sun.
