Highlands Gem Club to discuss fossils on Dec 12

The Highlands Gem and Mineral Club is hosting its regular meeting on December 12, at 7 pm at the Peter Powell Roberts Museum of Art and Culture. This meeting will be focused on fossils and shells. It is located on the second floor of the Avon Park Community Center at 310 W Main Street, Avon Park, FL.

This meeting will be a Meet and Greet with members recounting their “rock-hounding” adventures regarding any fossils and shells that they have found, particularly those from Florida. Guests are welcome to bring their recent discoveries to display, identify, share and trade. Since 1977, members of the Highlands Gem and Mineral Club have met to share their minerals and other treasures from the Earth. All enthusiasts are welcome to attend this free meeting.
