Garage Sale Permits can be purchased at the Utility Billing Department located on the first floor at Avon Park's City Hall located at 110 E. Main St., from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The City of Avon Park ordinance limits only three (3) permits to any one residence and/or family annually during any twelve (12) month calendar period and not to exceed two (2) days in length. Permits are only for residential zoned areas. A new permit must be obtained before each sale. The cost of the permit is $2.00.
For those residents living outside the city, garage sale permits can be purchased at the Highlands County Tax Collector's office located at 116 E. Main Street.
