A contractor will be conducting a fiber optic infrastructure installation project within a defined area to enhance connectivity and improve communication network services. Work will include underground and/or aerial installation of fiber optic lines along designated streets and rights-of-way (ROW). Public Works has provided a ROW Permit to perform the work and ensure the project is performed per our standards to ensure the impact is minimal on customers and excavated areas are restored to near original condition (if grass is present) within a reasonable time frame.
The sector 5 (See Attached Map) is being actively worked with contractors expected to wrap up this section in the next 2 weeks. The contractors will be placing door hangers on businesses and residences for awareness. This area will have a northern border of Hal McRae Blvd, a western border of CSX , a eastern border of Lake Lotela and a southern border of Avon Way(off of Memorial).
Residents and businesses in the project area may experience temporary impacts such as lane closures, sidewalk restrictions, construction noise, and increased presence of work crews and equipment. All efforts will be made to minimize disruptions and maintain safe access throughout the duration of the project.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed.
