03172026 Service Update | Yard Waste Collection Delay

The City of Avon Park is currently experiencing a temporary delay in COMMERCIAL garbage collection due to an equipment repair requiring a replacement part to be retrieved out of town. City mechanics are working to install the part and return the truck to service as quickly as possible. Because of this delay, some commercial garbage pickups scheduled for today will be completed tomorrow. Our Solid Waste team will continue working to restore normal operations as soon as possible. We appreciate the patience

The City is currently running behind in waste collection for residents located in the orange-shaded area of the City (north/central section, #1). Crews are actively working to complete service in this area as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through the delay. If your items have not yet been collected, please leave them at the curb and they will be picked up as crews continue service.

⚠️Reminder: Co-mingled waste is not permitted. Yard waste and household garbage must be separated to ensure proper collection.
