🎆 Avon Park 4th of July Centennial Celebration!

100 Years of History. A Century of Freedom.

Join us this Independence Day for a historic double celebration! The City of Avon Park is combining our nation’s birthday with our city's landmark 100-year centennial anniversary.

In partnership with Avon Park Main Street, Inc., we are bringing the community together for a day packed with family fun, live entertainment, local vendors, and an unforgettable, milestone fireworks display.

📅 Event Schedule & Location

  • Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026

  • Festival Hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

  • Event Main Street: The celebration will take place along E. Main Street (State Road 64) between S. Glenwood Avenue and Memorial Drive, extending into sections of S. Central Avenue, S. Lake Avenue, and N. Museum Avenue from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

  • Grand Finale Fireworks: The celebration will continue at Donaldson Park from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM ending with the Fireworks Show.

🚧 Road Closure & Safety Information

To ensure a safe environment for all of our families and visitors, temporary road closures will be in effect from 8:30 AM to 10:30 PM on July 4 to allow for setup and breakdown.

  • Impacted Streets: E. Main Street (SR 64), S. Central Avenue, S. Lake Avenue, and N. Museum Avenue.

  • Safety Protocols: Traffic control is fully coordinated in partnership with the Highlands County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Please follow all posted detours.
